Daprodustat [2-(1,3-dicyclohexyl-2,4,6-triohexahydropyrimidine-5-carboxamide acetic acid] is a novel small molecule agent, which stimulates erythropoiesis through inhibition of hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-prolyl hydroxylases (EGLNs).
